A Quiet Reflection on Resistance: Chaos - Tol's Bane

Seventeen years ago, Resistance: Chaos - Tol's Bane started as little more than a handful of ideas, some scribbled notes, and a lot of thinking. I had no idea back then that it would evolve into the story it has become today, let alone be something I would eventually share with readers.

In those early days, it was just me, my thoughts, and the desire to create something meaningful. The characters, the world of Tol, and the plot seemed to form slowly, bit by bit. But as often happens in life, time passes, and things change. Some ideas stuck; others faded.

As the holiday season approaches, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the path that got me here—the long days of writing and editing, the countless drafts, and the quiet moments when I thought I’d never finish. There were times when the story felt so far from completion, but I made it & book two is underway.

Writing Resistance was long and challenging, but it was also an incredibly personal experience. It taught me patience, persistence, and the value of truly believing in something.. There were days when it was hard to keep going, and other days when the story seemed to flow effortlessly. It’s funny how writing can reflect life that way—sometimes it feels like you're stuck, but then, just when you least expect it, you find the inspiration you’ve been searching for all along.
